The leadership of Bethany is embracing the "Intentional Transitional Interim Ministry" model as we move forward in seeking God's direction for a Senior / Lead Pastor. This model is a process and can take from 12 to 24 months to see our new Senior / Lead Pastor in place.
The leadership of Bethany are very pleased to announce the hiring of our "Intentional Transitional Interim Lead/Senior Pastor". We would like to introduce Dave Lewis. Dave's ministry at Bethany will begin this September 1st.
MINISTRY BIO FOR DAVE LEWIS
Dave has been in ministry with the Christian and Missionary Alliance for 38 years. He has served churches in Virginia, New York, Regina, SK, Chatham, ON and Sherwood Park, AB. He has also served as lead pastor of an international church in Warsaw, Poland. He was elected District Superintendent of the Central Canadian District, a position he held for 8 years.
Dave has been married to Janie for 38 years. They have four married children and 12 grandchildren. Recently Dave and Janie followed a long time dream of providing a place of rest, refuge and renewal for church leaders by establishing a B&B in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Dave has also recently gained certification as a leadership coach and has begun truNorth Coaching, a ministry to assist those in church and business leadership to create pathways to where they want to go in life.
Dave enjoys walks with Janie along the tree-lined streets of Niagara-on-the-Lake, sipping dark roast coffees, reading, biking, woodworking, and landscape gardening. He has fun playing ‘troll’ with their grandchildren on the bridge over the fish pond in their backyard. He is also a ‘closet’ Maple Leafs fan, but then, who isn’t these days!
